Writing style too basic - got bored reading it, Good storyline and insightful re: the daily struggles experienced by people with disabilities - and how ‘Harriet’ dealt with the ignorance of the people around her was beautiful- in this sense a good book. It also highlights that you should never underestimate a person with because of their disabilities or abilities. its a really good book to read when your feeling sad or worried about your self.

The overall message is hopeful, however, and I would recommend the book to Year 6 children who are concerned about changing schools. The characterisation is excellent and the real life drama unfolds with such attention to detail that while you read it, you may feel as if you are in Harriet’s mind, empathising with her in every situation.
